Online Journaling Course

I do LOVE online art courses!

Kid's flying through the house, unscheduled summer taxi driver, too much laundry to do?
Take an online course.  You can do them anywhere, anytime.  You can stop in the middle of them, you can put them off for a month, you can even let your kids do some of the projects with you.

I just signed up for...

It's an art journaling course from Hope Wallace Karney of Paper Relics & Besottment.

Journaling prompts, flickr sharing, live lessons (optional, of course!), and some awesome downloads.

Some other places I've found online art and art journaling courses...

Artful Pages
Besottment by Paper Relics
Balzar Designs
Crescendoh Creative Lab
Madness and Mess
Roses On My Table

These are just a small sampling of what's available.  I generally find out about them from other blogger's posts.

Flowers, flowers everywhere!

Another project from Artist Class 2010...
These are sooo much fun to make!

I started with this purple flower and followed the pattern exactly

Then I went on to make this pink one, but it's my least favorite.

Now this one I love!  I love the color.  At this point I'd lost two of my templates and was just wingin' it.

If you have a white flower then you must have a black flower!  Ignoring the templates and pattern completely now.

I love making these!

There's still room in the Artist Class if  you'd like to join!  If you head on over to The Graphics Fairy first she has a code you can use to save $10 on the class.

Vintage-y Valentine

I'm running a little behind in my February Artist Class  due to jury duty (that's my story, anyway), but I finally got to project one, a vintage look Valentine...

I was supposed to use a bird, but mine were ugly and there really aren't any craft stores here, so I used a butterfly instead.  I dowloaded the butterfly from Agence Eureka's flickr page of Vintage Butterflies--I just added some gold glitter to match the Valentine...

I almost didn't do the project because it's practically Valentine's Day already.  Even if it's only out for a week I think it looks pretty--definitely worth the effort.
