Lunch Bag Journals

A very good friend of mine, Janel, is the Assistant Director for Hospice Friends, a non-profit group that assists Hospice patients & families with items and services not provided by Hospice.

She asked me to make some little grief books for the Grief Support Group
The Support Group Director, Jeanine, had a prototype for me to follow which is very good since I'm not a scrapper

They're made of lunch bags!
Perfect size for poems & sayings
Envelopes for keepsakes
Pockets for more treasures

The bags were made with Scrapbooking and paper crafts left-overs from me, Janel, Alyssa, and Jeanine.

The journals/books are EASY to make:

Stack three paper lunch stacks as shown above with the back of the bags facing the inside of the stack
(bottom of bag to the right, top of next bag to the right, bottom of next bag to the right)

Punch two holes through ALL three bags.
Add a grommet if you like to secure them a bit.

Add a ribbon or cord

Embellish to your hearts content
There's so much you could do with these!
I kept mine simple since they're for a grief group and open for the recipient to add their own touches.

Lunch bags are so inexpensive and the little pocket that the openings create are perfect for so many creative ideas!

If you make one, be sure to let me know and I'll post your creation!
Then stack them in a Victoria's Secret bag--Janel will get a kick out of that!
