I am working on projects of my own right now, BUT they're for people who read this block so I can't really share right yet.
Other stuff that puts a smile on my face...
1. That Kate from "see kate sew" hoards toys all year for an Xmas toy drive
...and plays with the dinosaurs for a bit first :)
2. That I can tell my kids, "It's the thought that counts" when it comes to sending out Xmas cards and they believe it.
Hey, we actually got so far as a picture this year !
3. A blog or site or something called Freubelweb
It's in dutch and I do translate it with Google Translate, but it doesn't completely translate, so I'm not entirely sure what it is.
It's for freubelwebbers. Crafters?
It's full of links to some really great projects. Stuff like this "Themselves with DUST" link. "DUST" appears to be fabric or sewing. "DUST" makes me happy.
Lots of categories like, "Themselves with Crochet Cotton", "Hook Yourself With YARN", "Themselves With Paper", and much more. All are free.
(To access more just keep clicking on the "older posts" link at the bottom right of the page.)
4. That KK is finally applying to colleges .
Don't care what it is... college, travel plans, move out plans, tech school..just happy she's finally sorting out some plans.
THANKS PAPA!
I do remember how hard it is at 17 to even begin thinking about your big bad future, but I'm also a mom and the mom part of me is grateful!
She can always so, "no", if she changes her mind, but you at least have to ask, or you don't get any choice at all.
What a MOM I've become.
That makes me smile too.
5. Ingrid of Supergoof Quilts view
She's from the Netherlands...I miss it there and want to go back!!!!
I think she made those gorgeous quilts, btw.
I want to be sitting in that chair with those quilts and pot of tea right :)
6. Life at my house ...
For better or worse, I guess!
Congrats to your daughter for starting to plan for the future. My son is finally doing that now, and it's a great as a mom to see it happening. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the dog's nose. That's how it is in my house!
Cheers,
