Flavor: Rainbow Sherbet
I've decided to create an art journal for this year's SOF.
I didn't have a whole lot of time for this...
KAELY'S GRADUATING TOMORROW!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!
I "painted" with pastels onto a treated canvas background, glued on an orange circle from a Maurice's Clothing Store ad that caught my eye and then added some "painted" pastel swirls.
What do I mean by "painted" pastel?
Some pastels (even a few oil pastels) will turn into a paste when wet and you can easily blend colors and fill in a textured surface. The pastel turns into a sort of paint that's somewhat manipulable.
I like to spray the surface with a little water first. Color with my pastels and then use a foam brush to blend the pastel with water. For finer painting I use a thinner paint brush to go over a pastel line with water.
Try it!!
Very elegant... love this :)
